Saddlebrooke Updates

The Board would like to thank you for attending our recent HOA Annual meeting. For those that did not make it, please see the President’s Corner for full minutes of the meeting. Per discussions with those in attendance we wanted to highlight a few important discussions. Please take a minute to read through this. 1) Homeowners voted in favor of a dues increase of $200.00 to take place Jan 2026. This is to offset the savings decrease for the detention basin work in 2024 as well as work required to improve some deteriorated operating systems, increased costs, and required maintenance on common areas going forward. 2) We did not have any additional volunteers for the two Board positions up for vote. Both Jake Nechbrecki and I were motioned and approved to another three-year term. We were able to find a volunteer to take over the landscape chair that was vacated earlier this year. So huge thank you and welcome to Michael Remmert. Please understand we have board positions available every three years. The Board consists of five positions and three will be up beginning January 2027, and the remaining two are up beginning 2028. We have had no interest in any other homeowners volunteering to serve on the Board in a long time. That leads me to urge you to consider becoming a board member as we are reaching a critical point where if we do not stay on as members, there is no one to fill the position. The only solution to this is to hire an HOA management company. I can almost guarantee we will have to double our dues if we have to go this route. Most of the neighboring communities have had to go this direction. The cost is considerably more than what we pay now. Please consider volunteering. It does require some work, but in return your annual dues are waived for each year you serve. 3) As a reminder we are moving to website and Instagram as the main form of communication. Nadia Shockley has offered to help us here so we can be more consistent. Thank you, Nadia!
